April 1 - Formation Meeting & Steering Committee Next Steps!
Hi Again, All!
Thanks again for all the energy you all brought to our initial interest meeting a few weeks ago! I’ll keep this super short just to give a few quick admin updates!
First and the highest priority - we are booked and confirmed for the same venue as last time - so please block your calendars for Tuesday, April 1, 6PM-730PM, at the PSF Community Center in the New Balance Room.
Second, Emily and I started putting together the infrastructure for communications so look forward for official group emails coming from this account!
And good news for anyone on this list that has moved away: now that we’re on a real email platform, you can remove yourself, stop getting spam from me, and focus on your own local group, whereever that is. We miss you and give a shout if there’s something to coordinate on in the future - muah, bye! If you see our signs at the bigger protests with your new neighborhood group, come say hi!
That also means it’s now super easy to share this link with all the friends and neighbors that raised their eyebrows when you told them about the last meeting and just need a little push, so go do that please!
If you’re on this list already, you’re probably one of our bigger supporters, but we want to capture all the energy from the people who might not have the bandwidth to be super active, but want to stay in the local loop for happenings and whatnot.
As an added incentive since I’m a recovering MBA who loves leveraging incentives, let’s see who can bring in the most people to the email list and I will let them choose any recipe from my favorite baking blog, (Sally’s Baking Addiction for any other stress-bakers in the house), and I will bake it and bring it to the next meeting.
I’ll need time to shop for ingredients so I’m gonna figure out the winner as the week before, we’ll say as of noon on March 27th just to make an official line because I know how competitive Bostonians are, and I anticipate a close fight.
So if you find baked treats and/or bragging rights motivating - consider this your cue to go peer pressure friends, neighbors, coworkers, bitter rivals, and your favorite local business owner if they seem cool.
And in 2025 sometimes two weeks feels like an eternity so if things come up that deserve some immediate attention, or you have a brilliant idea for a mini project you want to take on or spearhead, don’t hesitate to be in touch in the meantime. Always happy to be a sounding board if that’s the idea stage you’re in!
Hang in there,
Caitlin
